Bite Me - Freeze Dried Food is a small shop located in the Elk Valley BC. 

Our family is always out adventuring so we were inspired to start creating fun freeze dried foods. We have since expanded to candy, ice cream, fruit, snacks, and breakfast! 

We are a licensed commercial kitchen through Interior Health and look forward to expanding.

Little Herbs of Healing is a small homegrown, homestead herbal business founded by Kortnee Van Herk.

It all started with my father in-law.

After his accident many years ago, his ribs were in constant pain and he found little to no relief with medications. I knew there had to be something natural, and it had to be worth a shot.

I hit the books, did the research and found a wonderful herb, Comfrey.

I made a salve and presented it to him. No more pain!

From there my passion grew for helping more people suffering with all types of ailments.

The curiosity to know more has found me where I am today!

I pride my business on 100% organic products found in the foothills of Southern Alberta and reputable sources. 

Each product is made through infusions. Using organic oils with herbs all products are left to infuse for 4-6 weeks.

Nature has so much to offer! My joy and passion is found in herbalism!

Our journey began with a four-week course, a set of hand tools, and a piece of bark. We fell in love with the creative process and haven't put our tools down since!

After hand-selecting the fallen bark from along the Oldman River, our creative process begins by cleaning the wood. We discover the unique elements of each piece and we are instantly inspired by its natural beauty. It feels as though the spirit of the wood guides you into creativity. 

Carving is our passion and every piece tells us its own story.

CopperPennyScrunch was started shortly after I graduated University.

I was anxiously waiting to be hired as a teacher and needed something to occupy my time. 

I decided I wanted to learn how to make scrunchies! 

While learning, I came to love the process of making them and picking out the different fabrics. 

I take a lot of pride in the fabrics I use by only choosing (or using) the best quality fabrics for my customers.

My small business, Blackfoot Radiance, focuses on modern-tradish designs inspired by the Piikani people of Southern Alberta. I utilize varying mediums such as fabric, acetate resin, polymer clay, wood, and more to curate beautiful designs for people to wear. I hope to bring Windy Rafters Gift Shop a variety of jewelry and apparel that will give visitors authentic Indigenous made creations for themselves or their loved ones.
